Call for SDITE Awards Nominations - 01/03/12 - The SDITE Awards Committee requests nominations for the following five prestigious awards: Herman J. Hoose Distinguished Service Award, Marble J. Hensley Outstanding Individual Activity Award, Joseph M. Thomas Young Member Award, John F. Exnicios Public Employee Service Award, and Excellence in Transportation Engineering Education Award. Nominations received by February 13, 2012 will be considered for this year’s awards.

2012 SDITE Annual Meeting Announcement - 12/21/11 - The 2012 SDITE Annual Meeting will be held in Lexington, Kentucky April 15 - 18. This meeting will be held as a joint meeting with the Great Lakes District of ITE.

Engineers, Columbus and Savannah Win Transportation Awards - 12/08/11 - The Georgia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (GA ITE) held their Annual Awards Dinner at the Indian Hills Country Club in Marietta Wednesday night, December 7th and gave out five notable awards.

Budget Review Committee Report - 12/05/11 - At the December 2010 Year-End Board Meeting, the District Board established a Budget Review Committee to examine current spending practices, prioritize spending categories, and make a recommendation to the District Board to help SDITE achieve a balanced budget for 2012 and beyond. The Budget Review Committee conducted a membership survey to gather input on SDITE budget priorities and member concerns. Following is a summary of some survey findings.
