Goal 1: Technical Knowledge -
Enhance Technical Knowledge of our Membership
 
  • Get technical knowledge information from Sections on the SDITE website
  • Evaluate the need for an online technical forum on the SDITE website
  • Coordinate with Annual Meeting Technical Program Chairs to provide support in developing technical programs
  • Continue to look for new ways to share technical knowledge
  • Coordinate with Communications Committee
 
Goal 2: Workforce Development -
Attract, develop and retain professionals in transportation and SDITE
 
  • Share Workforce Development success stories
  • Communicate and coordinate with International ITE on workforce development activities
  • Better connect SDITE with state DOT and local government workforce development activities
  • Better assist Student Chapter Advisors
  • Enhance Student involvement
  • Increase SDITE membership
 
Goal 3: Leadership Development -
Enhance leadership skills of our members
 
  • Validate leadership development needs and priorities
  • Develop leadership development modules based on results of survey
  • Conduct a leadership development training session at Annual Meetings
  • Pursue a leadership development partnership with International ITE
 
Goal 4: Information, Communications and Outreach -
Ensure accurate information is effectively communicated to membership and others
 
  • Complete SDITE website update
  • Maintain and share a District/Section Officer Directory
  • Encourage Sections to create an electronic mailing list for “news flashes” (i.e. frequent news updates on training opportunities, meeting announcements, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Sections on job postings on the SDITE website
  • Begin exploring ways to establish outreach programs for Sections on the local level
 
Goal 5: Annual Meetings -
Provide interesting and informative Annual Meetings
 
  • Maintain/update the LAC Manual
  • Coordinate with s to assist in managing the Annual Meeting process
  • Evaluate ways to continuously improve and ensure the viability of future Annual Meetings
  • Provide opportunity for networking and socializing
  • Provide excellent technical sessions and professional development training
