Hollis Loveday, P.E.
Hollis Loveday, P.E. is a Principal with CDM Smith in the Knoxville, Tennessee office where he has been since 1995. From 1984 to 1995 he was in CDM Smith’s (formally Wilbur Smith Associates) Columbia, South Carolina office where he was a Senior Transportation Engineer and Project Manager.
Prior to joining CDM Smith he was a traffic engineer for the City of Memphis. Currently, he leads CDM Smith’s Traffic Engineering and Parking Sub-discipline Group and is a Project Manager. Hollis has significant international experience with many of his projects being in Asia and the Middle East. He is a professional engineer in six states. Hollis received his B.S.C.E and M.S.C.E. from the University of Tennessee in 1981 and 1983, respectively.
Hollis is Past President of the Tennessee Section (2000) and served as Southern District Section Representative in 2005 and 2006. He received the Tennessee Section Outstanding Individual Award in 2002 and the Tennessee Section Volunteer Award for Distinguishing Service in 2011. Hollis was the Financial Chairperson for the 1992 SDITE Annual Meeting in Columbia, SC and co-chaired the 2007 SDITE Annual Meeting in Knoxville, TN. He received the SDITE Marble Hensley Award in 2009. From 2009 through 2010 he served on the Strategic Planning Annual Meeting Team and was Chair of that team from 2011 through 2013.
