LeadershipITE is a program to grow and empower leaders within the transportation industry so that they are well prepared for greater roles within their professional capacity as well as within ITE and other associations. SDITE offers financial assistance for participation in LeadershipITE if requested by applicants per the guidance below. This guidance is subject to change on an annual basis based on the SDITE operating budget. The guidance below reflects the financial support available for the LeadershipITE Class of 2027. Applications and payment for this class are due in Fall 2026.

Budget

$4,000

Allocation

SDITE will provide up to $1,000 each to four candidates. If more than four candidates request financial support, the $4,000 will be divided equally among all candidates.

If three or fewer candidates request financial support, the remaining budget may be allocated equally to any public sector or small business candidates at up to an additional $500 each.

Stipulations

Candidates must demonstrate board or committee involvement at the section or district level within the past three years or commit to get involved at the section or district level within the next two years.
